From Flame of Recca of course! So let us not wait any longer, here are Recca and Kurei:
Recca Hanabishi of the Flame of Recca Fame
It is quite impossible to create a list of fire wielders without ever mentioning this guy. His eries name even has a flame in it! Recca Hanabishi starts out as a seemingly ninja-wannabe who turns out to be a very special heir to his clans fire abilities. What’s more is that he was actually from the past, sent to the future by his loving mother in order to be saved. In order to save Recca, his mother had to suffer a life of immortality in order to watch over him. Being the rightful heir to Hokage clan’s power, Recca has the ability to summon flame dragons with different flame attacks. As it turns out, all of these dragons are the spirits of the Hokage clan’s former leaders, out to assist the current upon recognition that he is the rightful leader.
Recca, however, does not become a flame master right ahead. He does get burned quite a number of times before ever mastering his art.
Kurei from Flame of Recca
The supposed heir to the Hokage clan’s throne, Kurei, along with his mother was cast off from by the clan upon the birth of Recca. The supposed heir is born with a flaming fist, and while Kurei had this when he was born – so did Recca. This shakes the village elders uneasy as a flame-gifted child should not be born if Kurei was already the rightful heir. As the prophecy dictates, Kurei was not seen well fit by the spirits of the dragon, therefore, he and his mother had to be isolated. This leads the young boy to become ridden with hate and as his grows, he only feels resentment and anger for his younger brother and for the clan who had thrown them off. This was fueled further by his mother’s weakening state and her ultimate death.
As Recca was sent off to the future, Kurei tags along with the intent to kill his brother. He, however, is picked up and raised by Mori, later known as the main villain of the story. Kurei lives a content life in the modern world and even falls in love with a fellow orphan Kurenai - but this changes soon as Kurenai is killed right before his eyes. As an oath to his undying love and hers as well, Kurenai becomes Kurei’s powerful ashen flame – to match that of Recca’s.
