Plot
Set in the world of the massive multi-player online role playing game Ragnarok, Ragnarok follows the adventures of a party as they travel through the land, uncover mysteries, find treasures and the like. Basically, this is the anime version or adaptation of the online game which takes a peek on the adventures of a party as they “play”.
Characters
The characters in the anime represent one job class in the game, with the main character Roan as a knight, his comrades a magician, a healer and the like. There is not much variety in the anime as the anime was developed during the time when the game Ragnarok still hasn’t developed a lot of job classes for the players to choose from and evolve into.
Art
The art is similar to the game, only a bit rougher in terms of animation.
Over All
While the anime is pretty enjoyable, it is only the case when one is familiar with the game. If you haven’t played the game, then it would be harder to relate to the series as it uses and discusses a lot of terms, items and other things in the game.
