Anime Review: Master of Mosquiton

Posted: February 18, 2010

Plot

Inaho is a brilliant young woman and is considered a high school idol in her school. She is the top student in her school, an active student and one that is looked up to by her fellow students in school. However, she has a secret, the secret of her success is a book inherited from her grandmother which contains predictions about the future. Wanting to become even more powerful than before, she summons the vampire Mosquiton.

Art

Being one of the animes from the nineties, the art of The Master of Mosquiton sports a very pointy and wacky animation. The characters have bright hair with their powers requiring no explanation and the like. There is also a great amount of “chibi” scenes wherein the characters in the series revert to their deformed and yet cute forms in order to bring in more humor.

Characters

The main character Inaho is vibrant, much to the misfortune of Mosquiton who has become her slave. The combination of the characters in this anime makes up for a fun and quirky mix.

Over All

It’s all about humor and having a great time watching. At times, even if the anime tries to be serious, it’s really hard to take it seriously. Then again, it’s all about entertainment!
