Plot
A hapless yet good natured young man wishes to lead a good life in the city, get in a good university and basically live a great life. However, his fairy tale life ends even before it begins as he fails the entrance exam. While depressed and greatly saddened, Hideki Motosuwa still sets off to the city to prepare for another year and retake the exam. There he finds a persocom, a human like personal computer in the trash and takes her in and that is when his adventure starts – teaching the persocom everything he knows one step at a time.
Art
The art of the series is quite simple. If you are looking for the extravagance that is CLAMP, then we suggest that you take a look at the art books for the series. Surely it’s in the art books where all the frills and magic is at!
The humans and persocoms have been designed to look pretty much the same. The main difference would be their ears – the human ears are, well, human and the ears of the persocoms look like large mechanical devices.
Characters
The characters in the series range from the cutest, like the little persocom Sumomo, to the adorable Chi, to the loveable and reliable Yuzuki, to the genius Minoru and the hopeless and yet really kind hearted Hideki.
Over All
CHOBITS masks itself as a light watch at first but as the series goes by, the story also deepens and thickens. As the story goes, mysteries unravel and more of the truths that have been buried are discovering making it more and more exciting!
